NO YOUNG PERSON LEFT BEHIND
Educating youngsters in the art of cooking

At ISS, the company behind MADE at Jaguar Land Rover, we strongly encourage our people to engage in volunteering activity. In 2015 ISS employees gave 17,917 Volunteer hours - invested in the communities in which we live and operate. 6.1% of ISS employees volunteered within our local communities in 2015. Our aim in 2016 was to increase that figure by 10% and this will be confirmed when our financial results are published shortly.

SUPPORTING EMPLOYABILITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

In April 2015, we began supporting an employability initiative for young people. The initiative aims to ensure no young person is left behind by equipping them with the key skills needed in the future, boosting our economy and supporting our society.

The initiative provides educators with free resources like videos, quick fire activities, interactive tools, and full lesson plans to teach young people about what work is really like in the catering industry. It is linked to the curriculum and also includes interactive tools for young people to learn in their own time or in conjunction with their parents.

The feedback from ISS colleagues who have volunteered on the programme and the educational establishments using the resources highlight the positive impact is not just for the young people; our own staff get a great deal out of it too.
